Risk Disclosure

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Read this before buying your first coin. Memelut is not an adviser: nothing in the app is investment advice. The coins are digital collectibles, not investments, and we do not promise any profit.

Price and value

  • Meme coins can go to zero. There are no profits, assets or guarantees behind them: they are worth only what someone will pay.
  • Prices move violently, even within seconds. A sale can return much less than you expect.
  • Curve price, not market price. While a coin is on its bonding curve, the price depends on how much has been bought and sold on the curve. At about 104 SOL the coin moves to a regular Meteora pool and the price depends on that pool's liquidity.
  • Liquidity. You may not find a buyer at the price you want, especially for small coins or after the move to the pool.
  • Creators and large holders. Whoever creates a coin or holds a lot of it can sell everything at once and crash the price. Copycat and misleading coins exist.
  • Incomplete numbers. Charts, holder counts and volumes in the app can be incomplete or delayed. Some external sites do not count "compressed" tokens.
  • Only put in what you can afford to lose entirely.

Your wallet

  • The wallet is on your phone, with an encrypted backup in your iCloud Keychain or Google Block Store. If you lose your phone, your recovery phrase and access to that backup, nobody can recover the funds, not even Memelut.
  • Anyone who gets your recovery phrase can take everything. Memelut will never ask for it: whoever asks is a scammer.
  • A stolen, infected or unlocked phone, or a compromised Apple or Google account, puts the wallet at risk.
  • Solana transactions are final: a wrong send cannot be undone.

What Memelut holds

Memelut holds two things: the SOL in fundraises until the coin launches, and Gift Bank tokens until they are delivered.

  • While we hold them, they depend on us: on our solvency, on the security of our wallets and on our service working. A cyber attack or a problem on our side could cause their loss.
  • They are not covered by any deposit guarantee or investor compensation scheme.
  • At launch, and at least for the first 3 months, these amounts are capped at $50 per person (open contributions) and per creator (open Gift Banks).
  • A fundraise may never reach $10. The automatic refund applies only to fundraises started in V2, after 90 days, and is a share of what is in the fundraise: it can differ from what you put in.
  • At launch, the tokens you receive can differ from those promised.

Technology

  • Solana network: it can slow down or stop; network fees can rise.
  • Third-party protocols: Meteora (curve and pools), Light Protocol (compressed tokens), Token-2022. A bug or attack on them can cause losses that Memelut cannot prevent or refund.
  • Providers: if Helius or the compressed-token indexer are down, the app may not show balances even though the funds are safe on the blockchain.
  • Other apps: Phantom and Backpack show compressed tokens; other wallets or sites may not.
  • Transaction ordering: third-party bots can buy or sell just before you and worsen your price.

Rules and taxes

  • Crypto-asset laws change. Memelut may have to limit or close some features, or the whole app, in some countries.
  • You are responsible for the taxes on your transactions.

Gifts and promotions

Gift Bank gifts and other promotions are not promised amounts: they are worth what the coin is worth, can be worth zero, and we can pause them at any time.
