Fees

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Percentages are written into each coin's pool on the blockchain. Dollar amounts below are estimates with SOL at about $119 (3 October 2026): network costs change with the SOL price and with traffic on Solana.

How the pool fee works

Coins launched with V2 trade on a Meteora bonding curve. Every buy and every sell pays 1.625% to the pool, inside the price: there is no separate charge. The pool splits the fee: 1% to Memelut, 0.3% to the coin's creator (who claims it from their wallet), 0.325% to Meteora.

When a coin graduates (at about 104 SOL on the curve) it moves to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. There the fee is about 1.63%, split in the same way (about 1% Memelut, 0.3% creator, 0.33% Meteora), and the pool's liquidity is locked permanently.

Examples

$0.20 heart on a V2 coin

  • pool fee: $0.00325 (Memelut $0.002, creator $0.0006, Meteora $0.00065);
  • network: about $0.002-0.003;
  • you spend $0.20 plus network and get coins worth about $0.197 at the curve price.

$100 buy

  • pool fee $1.625 (Memelut $1.00, creator $0.30, Meteora $0.325).

Selling coins worth $10 on the curve

  • pool fee $0.1625: you receive about $9.84 minus network.

$0.20 heart on a fundraise coin

  • no trading fee; you pay only a small network fee (well under $0.01);
  • you are promised the tokens that $0.20 buys on the curve the coin will launch on.

Sell-back before launch

  • your share is worth $1.00 at the curve price: you receive $0.99 in your wallet, minus the network cost of the payment;
  • payments below about $0.0024 cannot be made.

Launch of a $10 fundraise

  • the launch cost (about $1.20 today: the coin's accounts on the blockchain and network) is taken from the fundraise;
  • the rest (about $8.80) buys the coin on the curve, with the normal pool fee;
  • the tokens bought go to contributors, in proportion to the tokens they were promised;
  • the small leftover of the fundraise after launch (about $0.19) stays with Memelut.

"Launch now"

  • the creator pays the estimated launch cost (up to about 0.012 SOL, ~$1.40) from their wallet, plus any first buy; the app shows the amount before signing;
  • the small difference between the estimate and the actual cost (about $0.19) stays with Memelut;
  • if the coin already had a fundraise, the whole fundraise goes into the first buy.

Gift Bank for 100 viewers

  • the creator pays the total gift (which Memelut uses to buy the coin, with the normal pool fee), plus a delivery budget of about 0.0011 SOL (~$0.13) for 100 gifts;
  • if the coin has not launched yet (and its fundraise has no contributions), the creator also pays the launch cost, up to about 0.012 SOL (~$1.40);
  • what is not spent from the delivery budget and the launch cost goes back to the creator when the bank ends.

Sends

  • coins to a Memelut user: network only, usually well under $0.01;
  • coins to an external address that never held that coin: plus the deposit for the token account (about 0.0015 SOL, ~$0.18), shown before you confirm;
  • SOL to any address: network only. Solana does not accept very small amounts (below about 0.00089 SOL) sent to a brand-new, empty address.

Network fees

You pay them, in SOL, from your wallet. The network fee includes a priority fee that rises when Solana is busy: the app shows it as "Network fee" before you sign. If you have no SOL, in some cases Memelut advances or covers a small network fee:

  • in a sale it takes it back from the proceeds in the same transaction;
  • in a send it covers up to 20,000 lamports (~$0.0024), within a daily limit.

Contributing to a fundraise, launching a coin or funding a Gift Bank need your own SOL.

Coins launched before V2

  • Coins launched before V2 keep their pool's fee: 1% plus a variable component that depends on volatility. Meteora keeps 20% of it and the rest goes to Memelut; the creator gets no share.
  • Some older coins that already moved to an older Meteora pool may not be tradable in the app.

Third-party services

If you buy SOL by card through MoonPay or Coinbase, you pay their fees, which they show you before you pay.

Changes

We may change fees for new coins, with notice in the app. The fees written into the pool of a coin already launched do not change.
